New camera!

Merry Early Christmas to me!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my Canon Rebel and still use it often but it is not exactly "portable"... it doesn't fit in the diaper bag very nicely. So we thought it would be nice to have something much, much smaller that I can have for everyday and save the Rebel for the major photo shoots.

After a lot of research and hunting we decided on the Casio Exilim in pink (that was seriously the most important feature). So far I love it.

I tell you this because for the past two/three years we have had no video on the blog. We HAVE a very nice video camera that we use frequently but for some strange reason the video files are not compatible for uploading. From now on (hopefully) I will post clips of the kids so you can see them in action. Still photos make them seem so much sweeter and calmer and less insane than they really are... you are missing out I think.

Here is a small taste of our night... although its quite mild compared to most;)

Oh and watch out, Cashe is dangerous with a rolling pin.

It's CAKE!

We had a visitor sneak in to our house last night and he didn't even set off any alarms. Cake the Elf has arrived! Belle woke up and was so happy to see her long-lost friend. He must have known that she was going to be "running" in the Turkey Trot this morning because he brought her a nice cozy outfit and hat to wear. Cashe (who is still asleep) was brought a fun toy hammer that will cause much damage to my furniture, I am sure.

Oh and I am sure that Cake had no idea that he is sitting on a candle that I was planning on lighting today...

She has a name!

Tonight Blake and I sat down and looked online at several "baby name lists" to help with some ideas for the baby. We started by looking at celebrity baby names. After sifting through names like Moxie Crimefighter, Apple and Birdie West (all girl names) we finally found one that fit!

I just love it! And, I feel much better now that she has a name... it just feels a little more real:)

Its A Girl!!!!

We are so excited to announce that we are having a healthy little girl (in April;). She has all her fingers and toes and likes to kick a lot. She is perfect and we can't wait to meet her!

Belle knew all along that it was a girl and I am sure we would have had some tears if the news had not been to her liking. She told us that she knew that God was the one who gets to decide if it's a boy or a girl... "but he made it a girl, I know". Haha!

We feel relieved and blessed to have a third baby that is growing and healthy... Now all we have to do is come up with a name!

New Living Room!

Actually, we just FINALLY finished decorating our living room. We have lived in this house for about a year and a half and never could figure out how to arrange the furniture... I think we got it right though and the feeling is much more "cozy" I think. We have already enjoyed many nights around the fire watching movies and roasting marshmallows (seriously, haha).

Sweet Girl...

Belle is having her Halloween party at school today and she looks so adorable! I just had to post a few pics.

I also have a funny story about her. Blake was putting her to bed the other night and as he was reading her a book she stopped him and said "no daddy, read it like mommy...". Blake had no idea what she meant so he continued reading. She then said "NO daddy, mommies books don't have WORDS." Blake caught on and just sat there and looked at the book silently, turning pages periodically and she was satisfied...

Haha! So that is what she thinks I am doing when I can't seem to look away from one of my books:)

Pumpkin Patch

And the Worst Mom of the Year Award goes to...

ME!! Ugh, my poor daughter who has been complaining about her ears for a week now ACTUALLY has 2 ear infections! And on top of that, Strep! Poor thing! Now, to redeem myself a little I have to explain that Belle LOVES to go to the doctor. She is constantly asking if she can go because her tummy hurts or she has a cut or her ears hurt (she knows that has worked in the past) and I always have this inner battle about whether or not to bring her. Well, this time I ignored her and told her she was fine... and she was not! So to make up for my guilt I went and bought her a fun toy and a whole gallon of chocolate milk (her favorite thing in the world) and she will get a cup every night until she does not have to take that nasty medicine anymore.
Now I am on the hunt for an "ear-looking-in-thingy-ma-bob" (that is the technical term) so this will not happen again:) Sorry Belle!!!!
