July 4th Weekend

I always look forward to July 4th and everything that surrounds it. I love the parades, cookouts, fireworks, and the fact that everything is so family friendly!
We started on Saturday by watching the parade in a town nearby. It was the perfect weather and the kids loved it.

Then Sunday night after church we all went out back (on the church lawn). We ate and the kids played and it was so nice! All the kids always have glow bracelets and they just look so sweet with their flushed cheeks and messy hair.

Anyway, everyone enjoyed it and we are thankful to have them time together:)

Fun with Family

This week we were happy to spend some time with family we haven't seen in a long time! It was so good to see all my sisters and brother and their families (and mom and dad of course;). I also had the opportunity to take some pics of little Ava. She was such a sweetheart and the perfect model!One night, Cashe got outside (we think Belle let him out) and the next thing we knew he was in the pool in his diaper and shirt! That was the biggest diaper I have ever seen and I have decided I change his diaper WAY too often if they can hold that much liquid. Thank you Daniel, Josh and Scilla for letting him play!

I took some pics for a friend the other day and her son was the perfect model! He is so friendly and smiley... he and Cashe will be great friends;)

Fun with the cousins

We have made it a tradition to spend the week that Daddy is at camp with Kristin, Kevin and the girls. This year we went there and had a blast playing and swimming. We definitely miss Blake but time went much faster than it would have had I stayed home alone with the 3 kids;)

Piper isn't getting enough to eat...

Yeah we are pretty worried about malnourishment (did I get that right??). She just seems to be shriveling away to nothing...What? You don't think so? I don't know, I think she needs a couple more chins before she looks healthy;)

Wheat field photo shoot

I have been invisioning this photo shoot since the wheat fields were planted and now that they are being harvested left and right I knew it was time! It had to be at the end of the day because I wanted the lighting just right. Belle was the perfect little model as usual and her blonde hair just blends right in:)

Time for an update

Belle had her last soccer game last weekend and she scored another goal! She has had so much fun and we will definitely sign her up for it again.

This weekend is our first full weekend off for a while and we plan on doing a lot of NOTHING! We went across the street to the pool today and the kids had a blast. As I guessed, Cashe has no idea that he can't swim. Several times he just jumped in head first and we had to grab him... he may be more of a daredevil than Belle!

Piper had a wonderful time lounging by the pool and not even one toe got wet today:)

I also wanted to share a few funny stories about Belle. I always forget to post these so here it goes!

1. Belle - "Mama look, that car doesn't have a lid on!" (convertable)

2. In preparation for her tests the other day Belle had to put on a little hospital gown. Her first remark was "but I don't like tigers!" (the gown had tigers on it). She quickly got over it and thought the gown was funny. Daddy made a comment that he could see her bobo so she turned her back on him and completely mooned him while saying "wook at my bobo"! Haha!

3. We were getting ready for her sonogram and Blake told her they were going to see if she had kitties in her tummy. She believed him and said she could hear them meowing. Then, when the technician talked about her KIDNEY'S her belief was confirmed. "Daddy, I do have kitties in my tummy! I have two!". Not sure what she thinks they are doing in there but who cares, right?

4. Today she was talking about school and how she doesnt like to play with the boys because they tell her she isn't pretty (typical 3 year old boy stuff). We told her that she is very pretty and she responded with a firm nod and "yes, I know I AM pretty":)
