What? Piper has her first tooth???

I am that mother... the one who is so totally oblivious to her poor youngest child that she doesn't notice her first tooth coming in!

Yes, Piper has a tooth.

A tiny, sharp little tooth poking through her poor sore gums and never once did she get sympathy from her oblivious mother. The same mother who knew for MONTHS that her first child was teething and constantly had tylenol or motrin or a refrigerated teething ring ready to help the poor thing through such an aweful and painstaking ordeal... that same mother.

Maybe I am upset and worrying about what this oversight says about my parenting skills... but I don't think that's it.

I think I am sad that my baby girl already has a tooth... the last first tooth:(

Cashe

I have been puting off this photo shoot for a couple months because Cashe is definitely my most difficult "model". He is ALWAYS looking down trying to find something fun to pick up. He did pretty well though because the train tracks were interesting for him so at least he stayed in the right spot the whole time:) I just had to be fast to get him actually looking at the camera.

Labor Day Weekend PROJECT!

Kristin recently inspired me to fix up my pantry with an idea she saw on another blog and I had been dying to get it done. This weekend was the perfect time to work on it. Not only does my HUGE pantry store all our food, small appliance and other necessities, but it is also Belle's "office". I set up her little table and all her art supplies so she can get away from her brothers annoying, grabby brother hands;)

Anyway, the "office" was a little nasty and probably not fit to hold food either so I painted and organized and cleaned until it was perfect! Now I am constantly finding reasons to go in to my beautiful little room:)

Piper - 5 Months

I can't believe my baby is almost 5 months old! She is such an angel and we love watching her grow everyday. She is rolling over and talking all the time and her favorite person is definitely Belle:) Belle just has to walk in the room and say two words and Piper gives her wide-open-mouth smile we love so much.

Last week we went back to Owatonna, MN to visit nanny and papa and we had so much fun! We went fishing, swimming, and to the county fair several days. The kids loved it and we made many great memories:)

Rock Star Party

Belle's birthday is tomorrow and we had her party Saturday. She had so much fun with her cousins and best friend Brooklyn:) Daddy set up real microphones and played lots of fun "rock" music.

I can't believe she is about to be 4!

Spider Web Cockadillier

Belle has a pretty wild imagination and she is great at story-telling (thanks to her daddy). Last night before bed she sat down with Blake and started showing him different animals on her little play computer. After showing him a few "normal" animals she said:

Belle - "Daddy, now I am going to show you an animal you have NEVER seen before... it starts with the letter 'O' "
* Random typing *
Belle - "Ok here it is, its the Spider Wed Cockadillier (I guess thats how its spelled... although I missed the "O" I think)."
Daddy - "Wow, that's pretty neat."
Belle - "Yeah, let me look up more about it on my computer."
* More random typing *
Belle - "Oh, it eats PLASTIC SPARKLES."
Daddy - *GASP* "No way, thats awesome"
Belle - "Yes, and it drinks water with plastic sparkles in it!"

The conversation went on from there with more elaborate details about this mystical creature. I thought it was especially funny because Belle thinks that plastic is the best thing ever. She broke her glass teaset last year and ever since then she has insisted that she needs a PLASTIC teaset next time cause they are better and don't break.
Seriously, who needs real leather when you can have PLEATHER? Why buy fancy china, its breakable? Just get the cheap plastic dishes from walmart! And PLASTIC SPARKLES??!!!?! THAT is the best thing ever!

Cashe needs help

He is addicted... it is going to take an intervention to get the pacifier away!
